Recap of the summer exhibition in Gallery Alphen art 2018

by | May 31, 2020 | Uncategorized

This exhibition took place from 27th of July until the 31st of August and was possible thanks to a generous donation to the artist collective STA-ART. Over thirty-plus artist joined the call to bring up to 4 of their art pieces for this exhibition. Considering the wide ranges of artistic styles, I was a bit concerned if the works would look good together but as always the professional team behind Alphen ART’s exhibitions planning managed to present a fantastic exhibition.

Another pleasant supersize for me was to be selected together with six other artists to represent the exhibition in the paper “leidsch dagblad” for their column on local cultural events.

For this exhibition, I brought two 40×50 paintings on paper using acrylic paint and markers on paper “Split world” and “White space”. I made these years ago, but I recently experimented with ways to rework them into my current style. Another discovery was how to frame them in a no-glass framing style which I love. Overall this was another remarkable exhibition I will definitely come back to exhibit again in this gallery.
